Hello from Floyd County, Kentucky. 
I am new to open carry and while I don't own a firearm now. I plan to own soon. I am currently saving up the money to purchase my first handgun. After I make my purchase I plan to learn each part of the gun, how to take it a part, clean and maintenance it. Then I will take my CCW class. Once that it all finished I plan to open carry every day and every where I am allowed to by law.
